On Saturday September 30 at 9.30am, St Philip folks will be joining our neighbours from St Mary's Oak Bay, ReconciliACTION Oak Bay and the wider Oak Bay community at the  Sno'uyutth Welcome Pole on the grounds of Oak Bay High School for a short act of remembrance,  to remember and reflect on the history of Residential Schools in Canada and their profound and harmful impact on Indigenous communities, before sending folk down to the South Island Powwow at Royal Athletic Park.
