Sundays at St Philip
- 8am – Holy Communion. A small, traditional, spoken worship service with a sermon.
- 9.30am – Contemporary Eucharist. ‘Eucharist’ literally means ‘thanksgiving’ – and is the celebration of Communion, also known as the Lord’s Supper. At our 9.30am worship we usually have a mix of contemporary and traditional hymns – there will be Sunday School and youth activities from 9:30-10:30am. The 9.30am service is also live-streamed on YouTube for those who wish to worship online.
Occasionally we have just one service to bring the congregations together (this usually happens the Sunday after Christmas, our Parish Picnic in June, and on other special occasions). These are noted in our weekly newsletter and on the Events page.
Tuesdays
- 10:30 - 11:30am - Contemplative Prayer. Please join us in the church on Tuesday mornings for a 20 minute contemplative sit with a time of prayer following.
Thursdays
- 10am – Holy Communion. Take a moment to pause and reflect with our simple, quiet, 30-minute Communion service, offering a music-free space for centering yourself midweek. A group discussion of the Gospel reading of the day, or a book study, with coffee, often follows this service.
