This week in prayer

Prayers and readings for Sunday 15 February 2026 and the following week: 

We pray for Anna, our bishop, and Allen, our rector. In our parish cycle of prayer, we pray for the pastoral care team.

This week our diocese prays for the Parish of Pender & Saturna Islands.

In our ecclesiastical province's cycle of prayer, we pray for the Territory of the People and Bishop Clara Plamondon.

We hold the community of Tumbler Ridge in our prayers.  We pray for all the people of the town and in particular the families of all those who have died. We pray for all affected for by the devastating news: parents, family members, fellow students, teachers, first responders, medical teams, neighbours, those with links to the town and the province as a whole. We pray that they will know of God’s love and peace in this time. That they will know that they do not walk alone in the dark valley. That they will know the love of neighbour supporting in any way possible. That all of us deeply touched by this tragedy may know God’s hope even in the wake of this devastating news.  

This week the Anglican Church of Canada prays for The Rt. Rev. Sam Rose, Bishop, and the people and clergy of the Diocese of Eastern Newfoundland and Labrador.

In the Anglican Communion cycle of prayer, we pray for the The Church of the Province of the
Indian Ocean (Madagascar, Mauritius, and Seychelles)

Collect: Friend of Moses, strength of Elijah, you go with your people and give them your Spirit: may the Child of your heart transfigure the moral world, so that love may know no bounds; through Jesus Christ, the beloved one.  Amen.  Prayers for an Inclusive Church (2009)
