Prayers and readings for Sunday 9 February and the following week: 

We pray for Anna, our bishop; Allen, our rector; and Rebecca, our deacon. In our parish cycle of prayer, we pray for our bookkeeper.

This week our diocese prays for the parish of Holy Trinity, North Saanich, and their incumbent, Denise Doerksen.

In the ecclesiastical provincial cycle of prayer, we pray for the Diocese of Kootenay and Bishop Lynne McNaughton.

This week the Anglican Church of Canada prays for The Rt. Rev. John Watton, Bishop, and the people and clergy of the Diocese of Central Newfoundland. We pray for a growing openness to dialogue and encounter with people of other faith traditions during World Interfaith Harmony Week.

In the Anglican Communion cycle of prayer, we pray for The Anglican Church of Australia.

Collect:  Lord of the deep waters, you call us from the safety of the shore to an adventure of the Spirit: open wide our arms to embrace the world you dare us to serve; through Jesus Christ your living Word.  Amen.
