Gleams of Hope art auction - thank you!

The Gleams of Hope (@gleamers.ca) art auction hosted at our parish was a huge success!!!  Together, the Gleamers raised $53,000 to support the sponsorship of a Syrian-Palestinian mother and her two daughters as they begin their new life in Canada. 
This event brought together over 40 local artists who donated 58 pieces of artwork, volunteers who gave countless hours, and community members who showed up with open hearts to bid, donate, and spread the word. 
Because of you, the family’s resettlement goal has been met and they are one step closer to safety, stability, and opportunity here on Vancouver Island. Your generosity reflects the best of what a community can be; caring, hopeful, and united across differences. 
We are deeply grateful for every artist, donor, volunteer, bidder, and neighbour who made this possible.
