Rector Christopher Page will retire at the end of May 2022!
Bishop Anna announced the news on November 14, the 28-year anniversary of Christopher becoming the Rector of St. Philip Church in 1993. Christopher began serving at St. Philip as Associate Rector in 1987. His 34-year tenure at the same church must surely be an Anglican record!
Christopher has given his wisdom and compassion to so many as he walked alongside us for so long. We have greatly appreciated his inclusive and broad understanding of the Christian faith. He and his wife Heather will be sorely missed but we rejoice they can move forward to a well-deserved retirement.
The church will establish a search committee for Christopher's replacement and an interim priest will be appointed by the bishop to fill any gap between Christopher's retirement and the installation of his replacement.
