The function of a priest is to call us home to the heart. The heart is that place within every person where we discover the power to forgive and to live as the luminous beings of light we were created to be. It is the qualities of the heart that ultimately reign over all of life. When we live from the heart we exercise the power Jesus embodied on the cross.
