Prayers and readings for Sunday 23 February and the following week: 

We pray for Anna, our bishop; Allen, our rector; and Rebecca, our deacon. In our parish cycle of prayer, we pray for our chalice bearers.

This week our diocese prays for St Dunstan’s Gordon Head & Two Saints Ministry (St Peter Lake Hill & St David by the Sea Cordova Bay).

In the ecclesiastical provincial cycle of prayer, we pray for the Diocese of Yukon and Bishop Lesley Wheeler-Dame.

This week the Anglican Church of Canada prays for The Most Rev. David Edwards, Archbishop, and the clergy and people of the Diocese of Fredericton. We pray for an end to human trafficking and modern slavery.

In the Anglican Communion cycle of prayer, we pray for Igreja Episcopal Anglicana do Brasil.

Collect: God of mercy, keep before us the love you have revealed in your Son, who prayed even for his enemies. In our words and actions help us to follow his example, so that we may transform hatred into love and selfishness into generosity; through Jesus Christ, our great reward.  Amen.
