Prayers and readings for Sunday 22 December and the following week:

In the ecclesiastical provincial cycle of prayer, we pray for the Territory of the People and Bishop Clara Plamondon.

This week the Anglican Church of Canada prays for The Rt. Rev. Christopher Harper, National Indigenous Anglican Archbishop, and the staff of Indigenous Ministries; the Anglican Council of Indigenous Peoples; Dawn Maracle, Indigenous Justice Animator.

In the Anglican Communion cycle of prayer, we pray for The Church of the Province of Uganda.

Collect:  God made known in the friendship of women, the word of greeting and unseen life enwombed: give us the courage of the teenage mother who brings into the world a song of joyful revolt and a God who needs her love; through Jesus Christ, the one who is to come.
