This week in prayer

Prayers and readings for Sunday 15 December and the following week: 

We pray for Anna, our bishop, and Allen, our rector. In our parish cycle of prayer, we pray for the team of altar servers.

This week our diocese prays for the Abbey Church & Emmaus Community.

In the ecclesiastical provincial cycle of prayer, we pray for the Diocese of Yukon and Bishop Lesley Wheeler-Dame.

This week the Anglican Church of Canada prays for The Venerable Alan Perry, General Secretary, and the staff of the General  Secretary’s Office.

In the Anglican Communion cycle of prayer, we pray for The Anglican Church of Tanzania.

Collect:  God of flood and fire, calling us to turn from dead halls echoing with greed: may the gift of your Spirit come to us from another place, burning with life and a hope that will not be quenched; through Jesus Christ, the one who is to come. Amen. (Prayers for an Inclusive Church)
