This week in prayer

Prayers and readings for Sunday 18 August 2024, Pentecost 13, and the following week: 

We pray for Anna, our bishop, and Allen, our rector. In our parish cycle of prayer, we pray for our hospitality team, aka the coffee crew.

In our diocesan cycle of prayer this week, we pray for St Mary's, Nanoose Bay, and their incumbent Kirsten Evenden.

In our provincial cycle of prayer, we pray for the people and clergy of the Diocese of Kootenay and Archbishop Lynne McNaughton.

This week the Anglican Church of Canada prays for The Rt. Rev Adam Halkett, Bishop of Missinippi, and the clergy and people of the Diocese of Saskatchewan.

In the Anglican Communion cycle of prayer, we pray for The Anglican Church of Melanesia.

Collect:  Divine love, undaunted by death and fear, who went to the depths to bring back life: in the power of the cross shape a people for service, who break bread for a hungering world; through Jesus Christ.  Amen
