This week in prayer

Readings and prayers for Sunday 14 January 2024 and the following week: 

We pray for Anna, our bishop, and Allen, our rector. In our diocesan cycle of prayer this week, we pray for the people of Christ Church, Gabriola, as they seek a new incumbent. In our provincial cycle of prayer, we pray for the  clergy and people of the Diocese of Caledonia and Bishop David Lehmann. 

This week the Anglican Church of Canada prays for the Primate, Linda Nicholls; Dr. Andrea Mann, Director, and the staff of Global Relations; Ryan Weston, Lead Animator, Public Witness for Social and Ecological Justice; Executive Director, Will Postma, and staff of the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund.

In the Anglican Communion cycle of prayer, we pray for Church of the Province of South East Asia.

Collect:  Persevering God,  by your sure voice you rouse us from our slumber and call us to discipleship and mission in Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.
