Sermons June-July

 During June and July, Fr. Allen will be preaching a series on the book of Genesis. 

Fr. Allen says, "It is quite serendipitous that my time of new beginnings as a freshly "inducted" Rector coincides with the lectionary editors assigning different texts from Genesis during the months of June and July in the first year of the lectionary cycle.  I've had the privilege of teaching Genesis in academic settings in the past.  Though preaching relatively short sermons on the same stories can't do justice to their phenomenal richness, they still afford us glimpses of the profound wisdom that has been directly responsible for the establishment of the three great Abrahamic faiths: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam and are therefore some of the most influential stories ever told.
