Issues with Shaw emails not receiving weekly newsletters
If you - or someone in your household - use(s) a Shaw email address, and you haven't been receiving weekly newsletters the last couple of weeks (and you may have missed the Vestry reports package sent out last week as well), please be aware that Shaw emails have suddenly started rejecting all messages sent from St Philip. You're still subscribed to the newsletter list, and this isn't something I can fix from this end. Everybody’s email program will have different settings, but you should find an old newsletter email from admin@stphilipvictoria.ca and work out how to tell your email program to “whitelist” or mark the sending address (admin@stphilipvictoria.ca) as a “safe sender”. It seems to affect a majority but not 100% of Shaw users, and is not 100% consistent for those it does affect. This kind of sudden blocking of previously ok addresses is not a new problem for Shaw mail users, and it's increased since the Rogers acquisition, so it may not be only St Philip emails that aren't reaching you. Others with the same problem report that they were able to use these instructions in Shaw Webmail: - Anna |
