Gladys Thomas
Gladys Thomas will be speaking during sermon time at both the 8 am and 9:30 services on Feb 9th. Gladys is the President & CEO of Fondation Pour Les Enfants d'Haiti, which runs "Hope Home" in Haiti, one of the ministries that St. Philip has supported the most faithfully and passionately over the decades. Thursday Book Study - Laudato Si'
Following the 10am Thursday service, our regular seasonal book study resumes starting 9 January 2025 with Laudato Si', Pope Francis' 2015 encyclical subtitled "On Care for our Common Home". All are welcome to join in the book study, whether or not you attend the service before it!

Family Valentine's Day Crafternoonan invitation from Oak Bay United Church - Saturday, February 8, 2025 We would like to invite your congregants to join us for a Family Valentine’s Day Crafternoon on Saturday, February 8th, 1-3 pm. This free event will be held in our downstairs Community Hall (level ground access via Granite St., through the doors just east of the big entrance ramp); there will be Valentine’s Day themed crafts, coffee/tea and light refreshments, as well as a nursery space for parents with younger toddlers/infants.

Karren Stinson Bursaryfor Lutherans and Anglicans based in Western Canada from our neighbours at Lutheran Church of the Cross - all enquiries to lutheranchurchofthecross@shaw.ca Application Deadline: 31 March 2025 The Karren Stinson Bursary Fund provides financial assistance to Lutherans and Anglicans based in Western Canada who are currently involved in post-secondary education leading to a vocation of service. The first Bursary was awarded in 1991. We now invite applications for a bursary of $1000. The deadline is 31 March 2025. St Luke's Cedar Hill - Reflections servicewith One Wheel Band - Sunday, February 9, 2025 The February Reflections will feature Victoria-based One Wheel Band, three seasoned musicians who bring a fresh acoustic approach to classic folk, roots, blues and jazz tunes along with original compositions. The three spokes of the One Wheel Band are: Burke Rosen (vocals and guitar), Diane Taylor (vocals and bass guitar), and Mike Sampson (vocals and guitar).
