Prayer in the way of the Taize Community – simple and contemplative – with chants, prayer and silence. We’re taking a break for January – but will post here when we re-launch!
The Taize Community in France is an ecumenical, monastic community of brothers. Known in North America for their distinct, repetitive, contemplative singing style, the Community is also well-known in Europe as a pilgrimage site for youth.
The Taize community have their origins in World War II, when they took in refugees, many of whom were Jewish and fleeing the Nazis. The community continues this practice of hospitality to refugees to this day.
